Discovery Mall Bali announced a new attraction for visitors through a collaboration with Bikini Garage and Kebon Vintage Cars Bali: a vintage-themed park in Kuta.
As reported by detik.com at the time, the planned attraction was to be named Discovery Park Kebon Vintage (DKV). Its nostalgic concept brought together antique objects and classic cars. Jos Dharmawan, the owner of Kebon Vintage Cars Bali, contributed vehicles from his collection to help shape the display.
Dendi Satrio, owner of Bikini Garage and a member of PPMKI Bali’s social affairs team, expressed his enthusiasm on 25 June 2024. He said the project was still being prepared and hoped its old-fashioned setting would appeal to visitors interested in distinctive classic cars.
Discovery Mall also described free Kecak dance performances beside Kuta Beach during that holiday period. The programme was intended to attract domestic and international visitors while introducing Balinese culture.
Dendi explained that the events were also intended to support tourism and help local businesses grow. He hoped that cultural activities could contribute to tourism development across Indonesia and introduce the country’s heritage, especially Bali’s, to a wider audience.
At the time of the announcement, the vintage park remained in preparation and was expected to open to the public later. The combination of traditional dance and classic-car displays was presented as a way to add cultural and historical interest to a visit to Discovery Mall.
If you plan to visit now, check directly with Discovery Mall for the current status of the display and any performance dates. The original announcement should not be treated as a current opening notice.
